Specifying rectangular steel tube correctly

The square tube size range does not define a rectangular width-by-height matrix. State both outside dimensions for a rectangular section and identify which face is used for fitting or joining. The factory reviews those dimensions together with wall thickness and quantity.

A photograph helps identify the section but does not establish width, height, wall thickness or tolerances. Provide measured dimensions or a dimensioned drawing before ordering.

Does the square tube size range also define rectangular sizes?

No. The supplied square dimensions do not provide every rectangular width and height combination. Rectangular sizes are checked individually against your order list.
